How to check status of fist time home buyers rebate?
Do fist time home buyers get a 15 rebate? I am sorry, I took the weekend off to do fun stuff with the kids. Right now first time buyers are offered $8,000. The money is received as a tax credit. Which means, if you purchased a home in 2008, you can refile and include the credit, or if you purchased in 2009, you will include the credit on this years return. They are trying to move the money to the front end so buyers can use it as a down payment, but that has not come through yet. is having a difficult time figuring out where the money will come from if they offer it as usable money for the purchase.
