Yaste, the system installer will guide you through the process and make suggestions where necessary such as shrinking the windows partition, creating a swap partition (partition of the hard drive that Linux using to extend memory), your root partition (for system files) and your main Linux partition. Normally you can just agree with the suggestions made by Yaste without having to worry about any of this or give it too much thought at this stage.
