How to change oil in riding lawn mower?
A ramp is not needed , somewhere on the side of the engine near the bottom will be some sort of drain plug , not knowing what engine and brand of mower , I can’t give an exact location. Somewhere in the same vicinity will be the oil filter. You may want to invest a couple bucks for an oil filter wrench , filters sometimes are hard to get off. When you put on the new filter , dip a finger in the used oil and smear a little on the rubber gasket and hand tighten the filter to a good snug fit. DO NOT USE a filter wrench to tighten the new filter. The oil will drain better if you run the engine at a fast idle for about 10 minutes before draining. Also, you may want to buy a small bag of kitty litter in case you spill some oil on the pavement , works as well and cheaper than oil dry compound. If you get the oil and filter at Auto Zone you can take the used oil to them for disposal.
