How to calibrate battery when MPB auto shuts off???

0

So here and there since owning my MPB (Early July ’07), I remember to calibrate my battery, but as of about a month ago, I’ve noticed my battery life/health is dwindling. So I figured it’s because the last time I calibrated was like 3 months ago and I should do it again. Well, I cannot calibrate because when I am letting the battery drain, my computer will shut off whenever it feels like it (usually at 41-60% battery life). No rhyme or reason, just cuts off. Here are my battery specs: Model Information: Serial Number: Sony-ASMB012-36be-76d2 Manufacturer: Sony Device name: ASMB012 Pack Lot Code: 0003 PCB Lot Code: 0000 Firmware Version: 102a Hardware Revision: 0500 Cell Revision: 0303 Charge Information: Charge remaining (mAh): 2453 Fully charged: Yes Charging: No Full charge capacity (mAh): 2453 Health Information: Cycle count: 48 Condition: Check battery Battery Installed: Yes Amperage (mA): 149 Voltage (mV): 12616 Mac Genius tells me I can’t have my battery replaced because I haven’t
