How to calculate the KUA Number?
The feng shui kua numbers identify different human personalities and factors affecting their lives. These numbers go from 1 to 9 and are calculated from the Chinese lunar birth date. The lunar birth date starts around late January and early February sometimes, so if your birthday is around these months you should consult a chart for an accurate date. The kua numbers are calculated differently for females than for males. For males, the kua number has to be calculated as follows: the two last numbers of their year birth should be added and then reduced to just one digit. That last digit should be deducted from 10 and the result is the kua number. For example, if you are a male who was born at 1958, you should first add 5 + 8 = 13. Then add 1 + 3 = 4, and then 10 – 4 = 6; that last digit would be your kua number.
