How to Calculate KW rating for a room?
{Width in meters x Length in meters x Height in meters} divided by 14 = approx kW rating for a room. It is not an indication of the size of stove you should buy as this depends on draughts, insulation, double glazing etc. Ideally you should always buy a stove larger than you need for the room. Therefore if you require 3 to 5 kilowatts to heat your room then buy a stove with a slightly larger kilowatt rating and light a fire to suit.
