How to Build a Sofa?
Ah, I see you’re a DIYer (Do-It-Your-Selfer) like me. Some basic materials you’ll need to build a sofa would be some Kiln-dried maple, Muslin or Dacron, fabric, needle, thread, metal tacks, springs, etc., just to name a few items. Then you would build a frame and lay a foundation for the seat and back. You’d need burlap to cover the springs and foam and padding. Muslin or Dacron can be used to cover the padding and you’d tack it in place. Then you would upholster it with your favorite fabric. That’s where your needle and thread come in handy. Make your cushions by framing a section of foam with two pads and add a zipper. And Voila! you’re ready for company to come over and test it out.
