How to Build a Pitchers Mound?
To build a pitcher’s mound, first mix equal parts of dirt, sand, and clay. Once the soil is mixed, mark out a circle for your mound. A regulation circle is 18 feet in diameter. Next figure out how high your mound needs to be, regulation for this is 10 1/2 inches higher than home plate, pile your soil up to the required height and then flatten the top.
