How to build a breeze block wall in my garden?

Before you go doing anything what’s the wall for ? I’m thinking it’s more of a area divider or something or you wouldn’t need to rendered and painted both sides. I can’t see mortar taking to the tarmac so you’d have to approach this from another angle because tarmac could be a good foundation to work off. Depending on the use of this wall I’d go with monolithic plinth onto the tarmac and lay blocks onto it. Something like this http://picasaweb.google.com.au/Sentinel8… (there are 2 pictures) I’d mark out on the tarmac where this wall needs to be plus an inch all round, then drill some holes into the tarmac and drive angled started bars into the earth (these bars will need some type of corrosion protection which will add cost) then tie the bars like in the picture.
