First you should have a passion for sports AND be able to put coherent thoughts into sentences that actually have meaning. You should seek schooling focusing on either journalism, mass communications or broadcasting. It’s advantageous to gain experience through an intership. It’s important to network in order to get a good job, the old saying “it’s not what you know, but who you know” especially holds true in sports broadcasting.
