One of the better ways to become a park ranger is to have some law enforcement background, coupled with a degree in some aspect of conservation. Such as forestry, land management, fire control, history, wildlife studies, environmental sciences, etc. One of the best things about being a park ranger is that most of the time you are living in the park itself. Thus you get a total “immersion” into what life in that park is like.
