How to be a famous painter?
I don’t think famous artists actually wanted to be famous or even had the goal of ‘I want to be famous’. I think they just did what they loved, they painted, sculpted, drew, whatever it was and fame just came from the fact that what they created touched others in a profound way and that’s how they became famous. It is also true that many had masters who mentored them and taught them the skills they needed to properly express themselves. Is there a ‘formula’ to follow to become a famous artist, I don’t think so. I do believe however, that you can be at the right place at the right time and the right person could be touched by your creation and that can rocket you into the limelight. I create because I love it, I draw what I feel, I don’t draw with the thought of becoming famous, in fact I’d rather not be.
