How to backup and restore registry key?

0

Make a backup copy of any registry key before editing. If the change you made causes unexpected problems, you can easily restore the previous key. To backup a registry key: • In the left pane of the registry editor select the key you want to backup. • On the File menu click Export… • Save selected branch to the safe place as a *.reg-file. You can restore this registry key if you need. You can also edit this file with Notepad. To restore a key after editing just run previously saved *.reg-file.
