How to avoid getting tripped up by tricky questions?
Many certification programs have the tendency of discriminating against minorities by requiring considerable mastery of advanced English, which bias their exams in favor of those with strong background in native English speaking environments. Some of them are especially notorious for questions written to trip people up. Make sure you fully understand the intent and purpose of each question. Don’t rush. Read each question slowly and carefully. Identify the KEYWORDS (there are often clues implanted in the first or last sentences) and you should be able to tell what the question is for.
