How to apply for Post Matric Scholarships ?
The application forms of all categories of scholarships shall be made available for the students from the date of reopening of colleges, free of cost. District Social Welfare Officer is the sanctioning authority for post-matric scholarships. Renewal scholarships shall be sanctioned on commencement of academic year without obtaining any proposals from the heads of institutions except in cases where it is considered necessary. The fresh scholarship applications shall be forwarded by the principals to the ASWO before 31st July or within 15 days from the date of admission. After receipt of sanction order, all Government institutions will present bills every month directly on the treasury/sub treasury. Other institutions under the private managements and Universities shall prepare scholarship bills and get them countersigned by the ASWO concerned before presenting to the treasury /sub-treasury.
