You might be in a pickle unless, as required, you notified the FAA with in 30 days of your address change.(as required by regulation). Temporary airman certificates are valid for 120 days after the date of issuance. This time period is based on the workload of the Airmen Certification Branch, AFS-760, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 1) If, after 120 days, the permanent certificate has not been received, the airman may be issued another temporary certificate but only by an inspector. If a pilot certificate is delayed at a district office for the correction of errors, or otherwise, until the temporary certificate has less than 30 days of validity, the inspector who forwards the file shall, at that time, issue a new temporary certificate for an additional 120-day period.
