How to answer illegal interview questions in a job interview?
An experienced interviewer may never ask you any of the illegal interview questions directly. In case you face any of the above questions or any question which you feel is penetrating to your personal life, creed, sexuality, ethnicity and the answer can be used as a discriminating factor, you should avoid answering them. Although you are free to answer these questions but by doing so you are simply ruining your candidacy by giving personal information; however if you are avoiding the questions you may hardly listen an uncooperative or confrontational words. A smart way to deal with such questions is, you can simply respond to the intent behind the question by tactfully pointing out to the interviewer that the question is illegal rather than offending him/ her.
