How to align dish antenna do it yourself way, for getting DTH tv channels in pune?

Assuming this is a DSS like DirecTV or Dish. If the equipment is similar, make sure the mast is plumb. Set the inclination angle of the dish first. Then track across the sky, you should know about what direction you should point the dish. You get the information on inclination and direction of the dish from either calling customer service or there is a menu on the receiver, you enter your location. After you get the best signal by tracking across the sky, you can fine tune it by slightly adjusting the inclination or direction. It helps if you can either have some one tell you what the strongest signal is as you make adjustments or run a cable from the receiver to a TV that you can see and hear as you make your adjustments. Professional installers have signal finders, but unless you have a bunch of obstructions blocking line of sight to the satellite, it isn’t needed. Good Luck.
