How tight is “tight enough” when installing a car seat?

0

A properly installed car seat will move less than 1″ when you tug on it at the belt path. The vehicle’s seat belts must be locked, either by their own locking mechanism or by using a locking clip. A rear-facing seat will be able to be pushed toward the back of the car if you push at the head of the seat. This is normal movement (see next question). Click here for more installation help.
