How the disk need to be partitioned and formatted?
Any HDD must be partitioned to be useful by an operating system. To partition it, means defining parts as drives. For the PVR-800, there is a special way to do not have problem in the future: the partition must be created and formatted under Windows a first time, then must be formated a second time by the PVR-800 itself. If you don’t respect this “rule”, you should expect to get some problems later (can’t access files from Windows, loss of data, etc.). PVR-800 can only read the first partition of a disk formatted in FAT32. So you don’t have to create multiple partitions on your disk. Furthermore, once partitioned, do not try to format your disk under Windows XP (using explorer), it won’t accept to do this if the partition is greater than 32Gb and will suggest to use NTFS format (not supported by PVR-800). You’ll be able to format it in FAT32 with the format command (from “DOS”), Partition Magic 8, Paragon Disk Manager or any other tools (but don’t format it in first by the PVR-800). Th
