Nick Lachey broke into the scene with his boy band 98 degrees and gained some amount of success with hit albums as their self titled debut album and has sold over 10 million copies. His greatest success though when his marriage with fellow singer Jessica Simpson was used as the basis of the MTV show “The Newlyweds” which depicted him and Simpson in their daily lives as newlywed pop stars. It ran for four seasons and firmly entrenched them in the annals of pop history. He did try a solo effort during this time entitled “SoulO” but was poor in the commercial market. His five foot nine inch became object of tabloid press when his marriage to Jessica Simpson went on the rocks and thus resulted in their eventual divorce. Since the divorce, he has tried to make a comeback to his singing career with the album “what’s Left of Me” which gained success probably due to the sympathy he garnered from the divorce. He has then returned to his singing and has tried to make relationships beyond Jessica
