How tall do water lilies grow?
Most lilies will grow in 3ft depth,but it is not a problem anyway.You make a pedestal using bricks,then place the lily basket on the top of the bricks to get right depth. Lilies grow very fast and will quickly throttle the whole pond,the size of the plant can make it look out of proportion to size of the pond.For most ponds the dwarf varieties are best,slightly smaller leaves and slower growth,but flower size the same.
