How tall can the trees or the hedge be?
A If a hedge, or row of trees, is more than 2 meters in height then it may be possible for a Remedial Notice ordering a reduction in height to be served. You must bear in mind that the reduction ordered will be based upon many factors, including distance of the trees from the house, size of the garden, which direction the garden faces and the health of the trees. A remedial notice, requiring a hedge to be reduced to two meters will only be served in extreme cases. The Council cannot order a reduction of more than 2 meters.
