How susceptible is 3200 speed film to airport X-Rays?

Hmm, I would treat them with suspicion at least and not rely on them for critical applications. Try one and see how it goes. I think you should be able to request that your camera and film not be put through the x-ray machines at airports, hold them as hand-luggage.

I’m pretty sure that you’re supposed to request manual searches for ANY film. It won’t hurt your camera to try it, though.

At modern airports x rays are not used these days, they use Magnetic Resonance the same as MRI scanners, so it could be you film has not been bombarded with X rays at all. You can still buy protective bags for film, I realise that this is shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. If your film was in the older aluminium cans, they had some protection, and the cassettes themselves have thin metal around them apart from the ends, X rays are only a problem if the operators turn the level of X rays beyond what they actually need, so your films are probably fine. Hope so. Chris.
