How Successful Was The Film Schindlers List?
The film ‘Schindler’s List’ is considered as one of the greatest films of all time, and many critics have felt that it is Steven Spielberg’s best film. It was voted number 9 in the American Film Institute’s AFI’s 100 years, and constantly appears in the top ten of Internet Movie Databases top 250 films. It won a string of awards, including Academy awards, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTAs and Grammies. Cast of the film includes Liam Neeson (Oskar Schindler), Ralph Fiennes (Amon Goth), Ben Kingsley (Itzhak Stern). The film is based on a book by Thomas Keneally, which was entitled Schindler’s Ark and published in the United States as Schinler’s List. There were a number of differences between the book and the film. Schindler’s List is Steven Spielberg’s only film to be given an ‘R’ rating by the Motion Picture Association of America.
