How successful is he compared to other trollers?
Very successful indeed. In sci.astro.amateur (SAA) there are 2 other primary trollers, Nancy Lieder and Daniel Min. Both of them heavily cross-post and, for the most part, receive fewer than 10 replies per thread. Worse still, they take their trolling very seriously, as if on a religious crusade. In sharp contrast, Shawn never cross-posts and only trolls for fun. Although many subscribers to SAA are tired of the same trolls being repeated over and over, he still receives many replies, even when reposting a “classic troll” with identical content!
