How successful are students who graduate from Cypress Heights?
Cypress Heights graduates have been accpeted to Catholic High School, St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Michael the Archangel, Redemptorist, Baton Rouge Magnet, University Lab School, and several other schools. One specific example is out of 8 graduates who enrolled into a local diocesan high school, one student ranked #1 in the freshman class of 2007-08 and two students tied for 4th. Of the two that tied for 4th, one went to State Literary Rally for Algebra I and won! Another example, is a student who struggled in math at Cypress Heights, yet after moving on to a local high school went to district rally in mathematics. A third example is that many of our students move right into advanced placement. Further, a few other examples are: we’ve had a graduate from Christendom College, one in graduate school at University of La, one recently accepted to LSU Law School and another accepted at LSU Medical School.
