Indo-Italian trade has progressed over the years, but there has been very little interaction between the SMEs. Business contacts have been confined to big players. The problem is everybody wants only big brand names. Language is a barrier too. Small Italian businesses are not familiar with the English language. Despite this, Indian small machine tool makers have been using a lot of Italian products. How can Indian SMEs tie up with the Italian small-scale sector? What should be the Indian USP?
