How strong is Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo the birth control?
I’m sorry I dont know how many milligrams it is. It’s a 28 day regimen & it’s generic. I’m jw how strong it mite be if anyone could tell me (& yes I mean strong as in me NOT getting knocked up) A: .025mg of estrogen (ethinyl estradiol) (constant dose thru out the month) The dose of progestin changes every week (hence tri-cyclen) 1st week: 0.15 progestin (norgestimate) 2nd week: 0.215 progestin (norgestimate) 3rd week: 0.25 progestin (norgestimate) It is on the low end of strength but it doesn’t matter. Even with doses of estrogen as low as .020mg (yours has .025mg) the pill is still over 99% effective when taken correctly. If you are over 155lbs, it is reccomended that you take a pill with at least .03-.035 mg of estrogen, but the difference in effectiveness is minute. Don’t worry.
