How strong are Sparkle paper towels?

In a variety of experiments where paper towels were stretched in an embroidery hoop, dampened with drops of water and then tested with pennies, Sparkle was able to hold far less weight when wet than brands like Brawny and Bounty.On the Other: Other Brands Are WeakerThe experiments performed by NCSSM in 2000 did prove that other brands of paper towel tested were weaker than Sparkle, being able to withstand less weight while wet. Weaker brands were also less absorbent than Sparkle paper towels, which picked up water more quickly. Weaker brands compared in the study included 7th Generation and So-Dri.Bottom LineSparkle paper towels tend to be less absorbent and able to withstand pressure and weight while wet than a number of other name brand paper towels.
