Well UK immigration used to be lenient but its not any more. If you are interested to work & live in UK then you have two options. 1) Tier 1 permit free employment. 2) Tier 2 work permit based employment. I have printed the Home Office website below for your guidance, please have a look. But my serious suggestion is that, you should start checking Immigration to Canada, it takes a bit extra time but its worth. Good luck.
