How strict is airport security in USA?

It is strict, but here’s the norm procedure Remove your shoes, hats, metals, and carry-ons and place them in this ugly gray plastic bin. They then go into a line and are X-rayed. If you have a laptop, they scan is special. Your ticket and legal form of identification (drivers liscense, passport, etc) is scanned to see the proof and make sure it matches your ticket. You walk through a metal detector to make sure you dont have any dangerous metals on you. Depending on your airport, you may go through a drug sniffing machine. I’ve been through it once. You stand where your feet are marked, hands by your side, not moving, and they spray a chemical on you that allows the machine the smell any drugs that may be on your person. If the doors to the machine open within 10 seconds, you are fine to go and get your belongings. 10 seconds may seem like a short time, but it seems like alot longer. Just dont act suspicious, and try to keep your cool.
