The minimum weight of 60kg only applies to male candidates who are applying to join the Royal Marines! There is no fixed minimum weight as such for candidates applying to join the Royal Navy. Now and then, there are candidates who are considered to be a little underweight for their height by the Doctors who do the pre-joining medicals; these candidates are asked to put on a few pounds and come back to be reweighed in a couple of months. Most have put the little bit of extra weight on and are ready to join. As a female candidate whose height is 5 ft 2 and weight is 50 kgs, you should have no problems at all. Once you start your fitness training, you will probably add a little muscle and so a little bit to your weight anyway. Go for it!
