How strenuous is the physical part of the trip?
This experience has more packed into it than you think- days are long, full of activity, and the emotions that can arise can be exhausting as well. If you don’t currently exercise, consider beginning a program to increase your stamina. If you have any health problems, consult your physician about the itinerary, and discuss any concerns with your city leader. Once you are in Israel, try hard to get as much sleep as possible, and make sure that you pace yourself. Hiking up Masada, climbing up all the steps in Sfat, walking through Jerusalem, even being out in the heat will be very strenuous on your body. You may notice swelling of your lower legs, headaches, nausea or dizziness. Drinking more water and resting as much as possible typically provide the path back to good health. Try not to worry about it; everyone will have fun!
