How soon are the results available?
Results are available 5 working days after we receive all samples in the laboratory. If you need to receive results sooner, you may request our expedited testing service by calling 1-800-275-4163. Results for in-home tests may be delivered via email, phone, or first class mail. Legal test results are delivered via first class mail only. You may also request expedited delivery via fax or courier for an additional charge.
Once the Orchid Cellmark lab has received the sample, the analysis will typically be completed in 5 business days. Rush testing, on a 3-day, 2-day, or 1-day basis may also available, depending on the type of analysis required. Please contact our Paternity Call Center at 1-800-DNA-TEST (800-362-8378) for details.
Most results will be available on the same day as part of the personal health report, which on future visits, will identify trends and compare changes. Some tests such as pathology tests, mammograms, cervical smear and prostate tests will need to go to special laboratories. All the results should be available within two weeks of the appointment.
