It depends on the STD. Most STDs have an incubation period which is when there are no symptoms. Even after this period some STD’s do not show signs or they are internal. If you feel you may have an STD, get tested it may take up to 3 months to show up positive. One thing that may help ease your mind is to make sure you look closely at your partner and if they have any mysterious bumps have them checked out… and use a condom.
