How soon after Queen Elizabeths death will they crown Prince Charles?

0

Queen Elizabeth succeeded to the throne in February of 1952, but the coronation ceremony did not take place until June of 1953. These things take time to plan, though it could probably be done rather faster today than in the 50’s. Much might depend on the time of year that the Queen died. They will want good weather for the coronation, so if she died in, say, December, they might pull the coronation together for the summer — in 6 months or so. If she died in late summer or early fall, they might wait until the following summer — close to a year. Of course, my parents-in-law were in London for Elizabeth’s coronation, and they told me that the weather was very gloomy.
