How small could this tattoo be realistically?
When my wife and myself went for our first tattoos last year.. ( we are 45yrs old) we wanted just a small dragonfly. about the size of a quarterish. We had a lenghtly discussion with the artist who quiet rightly pointed out that if it was too small then it ould look like a squished bug. He showed us plenty of small designs and many small older tattoos he has covered. We agreed with him and the dragonflys were done with a wing span of about 4 inches and body length about the same. They look great. but it also menat that they were easy to add too in the future. which we have had done with leaves and colors. I guess what I am saying is be careful if you have it too small it will look wierd in a few years and also difficult to add too if you so wish. I am not saying have it cover your whole back etc but it will look better people know what it is without having to get a magnifying glass… Also a little larger means you could have a more detailed design… like clored eyes and buttons with
