How should things like tattoos and body piercings be addressed?
In the absence of a dress code that specifically addresses such items, remember that all employees are expected to dress appropriately for their work environment under the State’s anti-sexual harassment policy. If an employee has a tattoo and/or body piercing that is either inappropriate or violative of the anti-sexual harassment policy, management must take steps to address the tattoo or body piercing including, but not limited to, telling the employee to cover the tattoo or piercing and counseling the employee.
