How should the public be screened when entering the courthouse?
Weapons screening is a standard practice in nearly all large urban courthouses and is the single most important element in a comprehensive courthouse security program. The screening station should consist of a metal detector and x-ray machine located at the main public entrance to the building.The weapons-screening station requires electrical power for metal detectors and x-ray machines. In busy court buildings the space should be sized for two metal detectors and x-ray machines.
