How should the membrane of the Bionector be cleaned or swabbed prior to use?
We recommend that the Bionector be cleaned before and after use. Most disinfecting agents such as Isopropyl Alcohol BP 70%, Hibiscrub, Hibitane or Betadine can be used. We also recommend that alcohol disinfectants be left to dry for 30 seconds and aqueous disinfectants at least 1 minute following swabbing, and prior to use. This recommendation allows the disinfectant the time to work effectively and reduces the risk of introducing the antiseptic into the venous system.
