The current via pin 8 is a measure of the ratio of instantaneous current going through the power device. It”s not AC or DC; it depends on the current state of the power device. The ratio is 377uA per 1A of current going through the power device. The power device is on only during the duty cycle of the PWM signal; so as duty cycle varies, so will the voltage you measure across the resistor connected to pin 8.
