How should students who repeat years or modules be returned?

0

Students who repeat a whole year of programme of study should be returned as if they were on that particular year of programme of study for the first time, only they won’t be new entrants. Eligibility for HEFCE funding is not affected by the fact that they have attended the same year of programme of study before. Where only part of a year of programme of study is repeated, the student should be returned as part-time and their FTE should reflect the amount of time spent studying in comparison to the year taken full-time. For example, if a full-time year of programme of study usually consists of four modules and only one is repeated in a year of programme of study, the repeating student would be returned as part-time with an FTE of 0.25 (1 รท 4).
