How should steroids be used on the face?
Only mild steroids should be used on the face, and then only on the instruction of your doctor. The skin on the face is thinner and absorbs steroid more easily, making it more vulnerable to damage by the steroid. It’s important that you avoid getting topical steroids into your eyes. Always wash your hands after application (unless you are treating eczema on your hands) to prevent accidentally getting the steroid in your eyes, and take care when applying steroids to the face.
