How should school districts balance the use of Recovery funds to add new positions with the need for sustainability after the funds go away?
Consistent with federal guidance, districts might consider short-term positions to begin a new type of instructional process as an appropriate use of Recovery funds. Districts may also wish to hire independent consultants to conduct curriculum alignments, train teachers in reading literacy instructional strategies, or perform energy audits and make building improvements etc.
