How should residues in drums sent for disposal (on-site or off-site) be considered?
A. Good practice in this area, in keeping with waste legislation in some provinces, involves assuming that each drum / container sent to landfill includes 1″ (2.5 cm) of the original contained material. Schedule 1 substances included in these assumed residues should be incorporated into the mass reporting calculations.
