NDC codes that the trading partner believes to be valid but have been rejected by the California DWC\WCIS with a 058_code invalid error should be re-submitted by using 99999999999 in NDC Paid/Billed code field along with the valid NDC code and the first 29 characters of the valid dispensed drug name in the DN563_Drug Name field. The WCIS lookup table for NDC codes is updated weekly but there may be some cases where a valid code is not included in the lookup table in a timely manner.
