How should movie studios advertise to teens?
In a survey of teenage moviegoers, conventional wisdom called for splashy, expensive newspaper or TV advertising. Communitas found that teens pay them little attention. They use a variety of internet sites instead. Why? The sites offer a more convenient one-stop shop for movie listings, trailers, local theater locations, show times, and ticket sales. They also thought it was cool to be among the first to see the movie. Movie studios had to rethink their marketing.
