How should itinerant and RSP (support) teachers be reported in CALPADS?
For RSP (support) teachers who work at multiple sites and/or provide support instruction to different groups of students, use Job Classification 27 in the Staff Assignment record and State Course Code 3020 in the Course Section record. The Instructional Strategy Code can be used in the Course Section record to specify if the class uses a specific strategy such as Special Education (Special Day Class) or English Learner (Bilingual, EL Mainstreaming, etc). RSP (support) teachers are not subject to HQT reporting, so these Course Section Records should be marked as “Not Core” in the NCLB Core Course Instructional Level field.
