How should Indiana’s congressional and legislative districts be redrawn?
Secretary of State Todd Rokita’s proposal is a pretty good plan. Districts should be drawn in a way to make logical sense to the constituents. Proper representation cannot take place in districts that are confusing to those represented. Which parts of the Kernan-Shepard local government consolidation recommendations would you support? Government should be as close to the people as possible. Also in general principal it should be as efficient and transparent as possible. I would support a single executive with the legislative responsibilities being shifted to county council. I do not support a transfer of ALL township responsibilities to the county but where it is most efficient or better serves the public safety that should be considered.
